The GDS result is compiled using a merit-based system that converts grades/points into marks. Marks are calculated with up to four decimal precision, and candidates must pass all required subjects.
For applicants with marks-based 10th standard results, the total percentage is calculated including all compulsory and elective subjects (excluding additional subjects, if any).
For candidates with grades only, the marks are converted using the multiplication factor of 9.5, as shown below:
