The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the SSC JE exam annually for the recruitment of Junior Engineers in Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical posts for various Ministries/Departments/Organizations in the Government of India. SSC JE Age Limit 2024
SSC has set certain age limits for the candidates to appear for the SSC JE 2024 Exam. Candidates need proper age proof for applying, false or misleading information will lead to disqualification. The age limit is up to 32 years for JE (E) and JE (C) of the Central Public Work Department. For the rest of the organization and the position of JE, the age limit is up to 30 years. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set for different posts by the authority. SSC JE Age Relaxation 2024
In addition to the standard age limits, individuals belonging to specific groups such as SC/ST, OBC, etc., are granted exceptional age relaxations beyond the upper age limit by the exam-holding authority. The age relaxations for each category of people are outlined in the table below:

SSC JE Education Qualification 2024
Candidates need to fulfill specific educational qualifications to apply for the SSC JE Exam 2024. The educational requirement varies depending on the organization and position. Candidates are required to provide original certificates during document verification, and degrees should be certified by any recognized university.
As per the official notification released on 28th March 2024, programs in engineering, medicine, dental, nursing, pharmacy, architecture, and physiotherapy, etc., are not permitted to be offered under Open and Distance Learning mode. Only B.Tech. degree/diploma in Engineering awarded by IGNOU to students enrolled up to the academic year 2009-10 shall be treated as valid, wherever applicable.
