UGC NET Overview:

Eligibility Criteria for UGC NET 2024 June Exam:

Qualifying Examination:

• Candidates belonging to UR/UR-EWS categories must have secured at least 55% marks (without rounding off) in a Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from universities/institutions recognized by UGC.
• Alternatively, candidates qualifying in the NET with a four-year undergraduate degree are eligible to apply online for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for admission to Ph.D programs, but not for Assistant Professor positions. They must secure a minimum of 75% marks in aggregate in their four-year undergraduate degree.
• Note: A relaxation of 5% marks is provided for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer)/Differently-Abled, Economically Weaker Section (EWS).

Age Limit:

• The maximum age limit for JRF posts is 30 years as on the 1st day of the month in which the examination is concluded, i.e., 01.06.2024.
• There is no age limit for candidates applying for Assistant Professor positions and admission to Ph.D programs.

Steps to Submit UGC NET Application Form 2024

Follow the steps provided below to apply for the UGC NET Application Form 2024:

Click on the mentioned UGC NET Application Form 2024 link to visit the official website https://ugcnet.nta.nic.in.

On the new window, if youre a new user, click on the “New Registration” button to register yourself. Otherwise, fill in your details and click on the “SIGN IN” button.

Fill in all the required details including Application Number, Password, and Security Pin, then click on the login button.

Choose the Exam Centre and the medium of exam for UGC NET 2024.

Enter your Aadhar card number, choose your gender and category, and select the status of Employment and the status of the Qualifying Exam.

Provide your Educational Details, including your most recent qualification, percentage, etc.

Enter your communication address, phone number, and email ID.

Upload your photo and signature. Both images must be in jpg/jpeg format with a white background.

Proceed to the payment page. Payment for the UGC NET 2024 Exam can be made through online or offline mode.

Important Instructions for Photograph and Signature:

• The scanned images of the latest photographs and signature should be in jpg/jpeg format.
