SSC CGL 2024 Eligibility Criteria:

To appear for the SSC CGL Exam 2024, candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria set by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). These criteria include educational qualifications, age limits, and nationality requirements, as detailed below based on the previous year’s notification:

1. Education Qualification

For Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University, and
  • CA/CS/MBA/Cost & Management Accountant/Masters in Commerce/Masters in Business Studies.

For Junior Statistical Officer (JSO):

  • Bachelor’s Degree from any recognized University with at least 60% marks in Mathematics in Class 12th, or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with Statistics as one of the subjects at the graduation level.

For Statistical Investigator Grade-II:

  • Graduation Degree from any recognized University with Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics as a compulsory or elective subject.

For Research Assistant in National Human Rights Commission (NHRC):

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or Institute, with a minimum of one year of research experience in any recognized university or research institution.

For Remaining Posts:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University.

2. Age Limit

Candidates must be within the following age limits as per the specific posts:

  • Auditor, Accountant, Senior Secretariat Assistant/Upper Division Clerks, Tax Assistant, Sub-Inspector, Upper Division Clerk (UDC): 18-27 years
  • Inspector Posts: 18-30 years
  • Assistant, Assistant Section Officer, Assistant Audit Officer, Assistant Enforcement Officer, Divisional Accountant: Up to 30 years
  • Assistant Section Officer, Assistant/ Superintendent, Inspector of Income Tax: 20-30 years
  • Sub Inspector, Junior Statistical Officer: Up to 32 years

3. Nationality

Candidates must be:

  • A citizen of India, or
  • A subject of Nepal, Bhutan, or
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, or Vietnam to permanently settle in India.
