The University of Jammu invites online applications from the Domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for various non-teaching positions. Interested and eligible candidates are encouraged to apply for the following positions:
- Junior Engineer, Civil: 02 (Main Campus: 02 - UR)
- Semi-Professional Assistant: 04 (Main Campus: 04 - UR=02, RBA=01, PSP=01)
- Lab. Assistant (Geography): 01 (Main Campus: 01 - RBA)
- Data Entry Operator: 14 (Main Campus: 14 - UR=07, RBA=02, SC=01, ST=01, EWS=01, ALC/IB=01, PSP=01, Social Caste=01)
- Steno-Typist: 05 (Main Campus: 01 - UR=03, RBA=01, SC=01)
- Junior Assistant: 15 (Main Campus: 15 - UR=06, RBA=02, SC=01, ST=02, ALC/IB=01, EWS=01, PSP=01, Social Caste=01)
- Section Cutter (Geology): 01 (Main Campus: 01 - UR)
Application Form:
QUALIFICATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
- Junior Engineer (Civil): Must hold Diploma in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering with at least 2-3 years of experience.
- Semi-Professional Assistant: Graduate with Bachelors in Library Science.
- Laboratory Assistant (Geography): M.Sc. in Geography.
- Data Entry Operator: CA/Graduation in any discipline with PGDCA.
- Steno-Typist: Graduate with minimum speed of 60 w.p.m in shorthand and 40 w.p.m in typing.
- Junior Assistant: Graduate with a Computer typing speed of 40 words per minute.
- Section Cutter: Middle Pass and Certificate Course from ITI OR Middle Passed with skill in the trade.
GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:
- The applicants are required to produce a printout of the completed ONLINE application form (Hardcopy) along with supporting documents at the time of skill test/trade test/Computer test/Interview, etc.
- Keep a printout of the completed online application (Hardcopy) form for future reference.
- Candidates applying should be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir and must upload the Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority.
- Horizontal reservation shall be granted as per norms.
- EWS certificate must be issued as per Form XIV-A in terms of J&K Reservation Rules, 2005.
- The age limit varies as per categories. Minimum age limit is 18 years and maximum varies accordingly.
- Grade points and grading system details are provided in the notice.
- Candidates should carefully read the minimum essential qualifications and experience criteria before applying.
- Application fee of Rs 1070/- has to be paid through the recruitment portal payment gateway.
- Candidates who have successfully submitted applications must ensure their names appear in the list available after the last date of the advertisement on the website.
- Only those candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria on or before the last date of submission should apply.
- Candidates invited for screening test/interview/Trade test/Skill test must present themselves at Jammu at their own expenses.
- Impersonation or submission of false/fabricated documents will lead to disqualification.
- The University reserves the right to fill or not to fill any of the advertised posts.
